AIDS Free World
Established in 2007 by the former UN Special Envoy for HIV/AIDS in Africa Secretary-General Stephen Lewis, and women’s rights activist Paula Donovan, AIDS-Free World (AFW) is an international advocacy group working to improve and accelerate global responses to AIDS through direct high-level advocacy, producing legal documentation and by supporting the efforts of local organisations in AIDS-affected countries. AFW remains deeply committed to addressing the underlying abuses of women (including but not limited to sexual violence in conflict) as a key contributing factor in the spread of AIDS.
