African Men for Sexual Health and Rights

African Men for Sexual Health and Rights (AMSHeR) is a regional coalition of MSM/LGBTI-led organisations and other groups which work to protect LGBTI people from human rights violations, and address the vulnerability of gay and bisexual men, male-to-female transgender women, and other men who have sex with men, to HIV. AMSHeR is made up of 25 organisations from 20 African countries. In addition to its movement-building, health and human rights activities, it works to strengthen and develop community structures’ capacity to implement quality programmes and sound strategies for the protection of the rights of LGBTI people, and increased access to health services for men who have sex with men.
