Cairo Institute for Human Rights Studies
The Cairo Institute for Human Rights Studies (CIHRS) is an independent non-governmental organisation founded in Egypt in 1993. It aims to promote respect for the principles of human rights and democracy; to analyse the difficulties facing the application of International Human Rights Law and the dissemination of human rights culture in the Arab Region; and to engage in dialogue between cultures in respect to the various International Human Rights treaties and declarations.
