Education Centre for Women in Democracy

The Education Centre for Women in Democracy conducts capacity-building for aspiring women leaders, providing women’s human rights education (through training workshops and seminars for community-based human rights educators and policy makers), and engaging in community mobilization. The Trust is currently supporting an education program that provides human rights education and training to rural women working community based organisations in five districts of the Rift Valley. This training will primarily address issues of property and inheritance rights, rape and gender-based violence.
