Fambul Tok

Fambul Tok (‘Family Talk’ in the Krio language of Sierra Leone) is a non-governmental organisation that promotes reconciliation between perpetrators and victims of the violence carried out during the Sierra Leonean civil war. It uses traditional Sierra Leonean rituals such as truth-telling bonfires and cleansing ceremonies to bring village communities together and to encourage confession, apology and forgiveness.
