Foundation for Womens Health Research and Development (FORWARD)

The Foundation for Women’s Health, Research and Development (FORWARD) is an international NGO working to advance and safeguard the sexual and reproductive health and rights of African girls and women with a specific focus on female genital mutilation (FGM) and forced and child marriage issues. As a Diaspora-led organisation, FORWARD works both in Africa and in African communities in the UK to raise awareness about FGM and to see it recognised as a human rights violation.

SRT has supported FORWARD since 2006.
