Gender, Health and Justice Research Unit

The Gender, Health and Justice Research Unit at the University of Cape Town is an inter-disciplinary research and advocacy unit that aims to improve access to justice and health care services for survivors of gender-based violence in South Africa. SRT currently supports a project that examines emergency responses to the health needs of rape survivors as a first step to determining how stronger advocacy and interventions can be developed.
