International Coalition of Historic Site Museums of Conscience

The International Coalition of Historic Site Museums of Conscience (SOC) was founded in 1999 by six international sites, including the Gulag Museum at Perm-36 in Russia, Memoria Abierta in Argentina, and the District Six Museum in South Africa. The coalition is now a network of 125 members, which share practices and foster a movement for heritage or memorial projects.
