KARAMAH: Muslim Women Lawyers for Human Rights

Since its inception in 1993, the current mission of KARAMAH has been to develop a comprehensive, modern, gender-equitable Islamic jurisprudence. KARAMAH has created the Jurists, Lawyers and Leaders Network (JLL Network), exclusively for Muslim women, which now has 450 members and is a significant part of Karamah’s plans to engage with women across the MENA region.
