Transitional Justice: Current Grantees
Transitional justice – in its broadest sense – seeks to uncover the truth about systematic or widespread violations of human rights, to achieve recognition and redress for victims, and to promote peace, reconciliation and sustainable democracy preventing future abuse. We support organisations working to design or strengthen truth and reconciliation processes (for example in the former Yugoslavia), to establish accurate historical records of human rights abuses in areas such as the Middle East and Kenya, and to preserve the memory of abuses in countries such as Argentina and Russia.
