Environmental Justice: Current Grantees
Environmental justice focuses on how environmental conflicts are experienced by the affected communities. Despite the multiplicity of conflicts there is a central concern: the disproportionate burden placed on poor and marginalised communities by political economies that distributes the costs and benefits of economic growth unequally and often violently. We support organisations and networks which help local communities affected by environmental degradation and/ or toxic contamination.
