Legal & Other: Current Grantees

SRT supports a variety of legal organisations, associations of women lawyers and women’s organisations who use the law to defend women’s rights. Grantees advocate for the implementation of existing laws, and for the inclusion of gender crimes in litigation based on universal jurisdiction. They also provide legal aid or assist women in self-representation. They utilise the formal legal systems as well as mediation and traditional justice systems. Recognising that not all work promoting women’s rights and gender equality falls into sub-themes, the Trust also supports other work to increase women’s political participation and economic rights.
