Raising Voices

Established in 1999, Raising Voices is an NGO based in Kampala using a community-led rights-based approach to address violence against women and children. Together with the various programme tools they have designed, they provide technical support to local-level community organisations working on violence prevention and gender equity. Raising Voices also runs a virtual space called ‘The Gender-Based Violence Prevention Network' highlighting innovative work that is happening in the field of GBV prevention and offering resources, publications, communication materials, research, and evaluation reports.

SRT has supported Raising Voices since 2006.
