Tricycle Theatre

Founded in 1980 and based in Kilburn, north London, the Tricycle Theatre is known for presenting plays that reflect the cultural diversity of its community, in particular by Black, Irish, Jewish, Asian and South African writers, as well as for responding to contemporary issues and events with its ‘tribunal plays’ and political work. The Trust is supporting the transfer of Gillian Slovo’s play The Riots, based on first-hand accounts of the disturbances in August 2011, to the Bernie Grant Arts Centre in Tottenham.
