Urgent Action Fund - Latin America

Urgent Action Fund – Latin America (UAF-LA) was established in Colombia in October 2009 as part of the expanded network of independent and autonomous Urgent Action Funds, and is responsible for all requests from Spanish-speaking Latin America and the Caribbean. UAF-LA responds to urgent requests for funding from grassroots organisations, non-governmental organisations and networks working in the context of violence, exclusion, armed conflict and fundamentalisms in the region. In addition to grantmaking, UAF-LA undertakes capacity-building and collaborative initiatives with women’s organisations to undertake further research and joint advocacy.
