Arab Media Lab

Arab Media Lab is a non-profit organisation supporting new media education and dissemination in Morocco as a means for social change. Their work embraces media art, alternative cinema, creative documentary, digital film and video, short films, music video, multimedia performances, video installations, digital mapping, net art and other interdisciplinary forms. Arab Media Lab’s training programme, Media Art Morocco, presents a range of workshops for children and young people with high profile filmmakers, artists and producers that help build digital skills, and frameworks for production including for example looking at Arab stereotypes in contemporary cinema. They also produce the Digital Marrakech festival that brings together artists in the region, particularly those linked to sub-Saharan migration.
