Bird Protection and Study Society of Serbia (BPSSS)

Founded in 1989, the Bird Protection and Study Society of Serbia (BPSSS) works to ‘preserve birds and their habitats’. It does this through undertaking targeted species conservation and ecosystem protection activities, working with communities, the public and, wherever possible, the government. Key actions include research and monitoring; identification and management of areas important for biodiversity; ecosystem restoration; wildlife crime prevention; conservation education and community engagement; and public-facing advocacy.
