Investigative Reporting Project Italy

Investigative Reporting Project Italy (IRPI) was founded in Italy in 2012 as an independent non-profit organisation to produce and promote investigative journalism nationally and across the Mediterranean. Its areas of investigations include organised crime, corruption, money laundering, human trafficking, environmental justice and social injustice, with a preference for stories that reach beyond Italy’s borders. IRPI collaborates with centres for investigative reporting as well as traditional media from all over the world. IRPI’s stories have been published by major news outlets in Italy and across the globe, including Repubblica, L’Espresso, The Guardian, Le Monde and Süddeutsche Zeitung. Since March 2020, IRPI has launched its own media outlet for investigative stories, IrpiMedia.
