Rob Shore

Senior Programme Officer for Conservation

    Rob Shore is Senior Programme Officer for Conservation. Although originally a marine biologist, Rob has predominantly worked on freshwater conservation issues in his career and has over 20 years’ experience of design and management of projects and programmes, conservation planning and strategy development, wetland conservation, fisheries management, community-based management, and participatory approaches. Rob has worked in several countries across Europe, Latin America and Asia, and prior to joining the Trust, Rob was the Head of UK Programmes at the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT) where he was responsible for leading, managing and developing all of WWTs conservation programmes in the UK. In previous positions Rob has led the delivery of wetland conservation work in countries such as Cambodia and Madagascar, and managed conservation programmes and projects in the Amazon and Mekong river basins.

    Rob holds a BSc (Hons) in Marine Biology from the University of Liverpool.
