Direkt 36

Established in 2015 by journalists András Pethő and Gergo Sáling, Direkt36 is an on-line media outlet, which investigates political corruption in Hungary. It distributes stories through established outlets including 444, RTL and the Washington Post. It has thought creatively about how to reach new audiences, sending bulletins to Hungarian radio stations and using podcasts, explainer videos and Facebook Live. It is staffed by award winning investigative journalists and is a member of the Organised Crime and Corruption Network (OCCRP).
