Aspire 2 Inspire
Founded in 2019, Aspire 2 Inspire (A2I) works to empower, educate and encourage Rochdale communities to overcome barriers, build independence and make progress toward achievable life goals. The organisation delivers five core programmes: Women’s Empowerment, Youth Services, Cost of Living Support, Refugee & Asylum Support, and Food Poverty. Through its Food Poverty work, A2I operates both a food bank and a culturally sensitive community pantry. The Women’s Empowerment programme offers social activities, arts and crafts workshops and job-skills training, while A2I’s Youth Services encompass the largest holiday provision for children in Rochdale. The Cost of Living and Refugee & Asylum Support programmes provide advice on housing, budgeting, benefits and signposting to relevant services. Coffee mornings, clothing banks, soup kitchens, science fairs, fun days and community clean-ups are regular features of A2I’s community calendar.
