Breaking the Silence
Founded in 2004 by former IDF soldiers, Breaking the Silence is an organisation that works to expose the public to the reality of everyday life in the occupied Palestinian territories. By collecting, researching, verifying, and publishing testimonies from soldiers, the organisation aims to stimulate public debate about a reality in which young soldiers face a civilian population on a daily basis, and are engaged in the control of that population’s everyday life. The group aims to bring an end to the occupation.
