Centre for Research Transparency and Accountability

The Center for Research, Transparency and Accountability (CRTA) was established in 2002 and is a leading democracy watchdog in Serbia with a focus on the elections, the media and Parliament. CRTA’s work focuses on electoral integrity, including monitoring all major elections since 2016, challenging electoral rights violations in court and promoting legal reforms. It also works on democratic accountability, including monitoring and documenting abuses of power and using litigation and advocacy to challenge them, as well as and strengthening citizen participation, which involves providing guidance and building capacity for civilian oversight of major institutions. In addition, CRTA provides analysis of the information ecosystem by analysing media content and conducting regular polls on citizen’s attitudes.
