Halina Nieć Legal Aid Center

Founded in 2002, Halina Nieć Legal Aid Center is a non-profit association that works to protect human rights in Poland. They provide free legal advice to a range of people at risk of social exclusion and discrimination, primarily foreigners, asylum-seekers, refugees and stateless people. Their activities also include human rights monitoring, strategic litigation, advocacy, and the prevention of human and child trafficking. In April 2022, the organisation was awarded a Trust emergency grant of £55,000 to support their Legal Taskforce for Unaccompanied and Separated Children from Ukraine, which aims to secure the status and wellbeing of child refugees in situations of vulnerability.
