Institute for the Study of Human Rights, Columbia University

The Institute for the Study of Human Rights is an interdisciplinary centre for human rights research and practice. The Trust’s grant supports the Human Rights Advocacy Program (HRAP), which provides opportunities for proven grassroots leaders from the Global South and marginalised communities in the U.S. to spend four months at Columbia University (from mid August – mid December) strengthening their skills and participating in dialogues with members of the academic, NGO, policymaking, and corporate communities.
