International Refugee Assistance Project

The International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP) provides legal representation and other assistance to Iraqi, Afghan, Jordanian, Lebanese and other refugees in the Middle East and North Africa. IRAP serves refugees whose lives are at risk and whose only durable option is resettlement to safe third countries. Representation is provided by a network of pro bono lawyers from some of America’s most prestigious law firms working in partnership with law students in IRAP chapters at 25 law schools. IRAP also works at the policy level to improve the procedures and safeguards of the US immigration system and international human rights regimes affecting refugees.
