Krokodil

​Founded in 2009, the Krokodil Association is a Serbian non-governmental organisation dedicated to fostering cultural dialogue and reconciliation in the Western Balkans through literature and the arts.Its annual literary festival brings together writers, artists, and public figures to explore pertinent cultural, political, and social issues.Beyond the festival, Krokodil operates a Writer-in-Residence programme, providing residencies to over 120 authors and translators from 23 European countries.Committed to promoting human rights and European integration, Krokodil actively engages in projects addressing language politics, historical revisionism, and support for vulnerable communities, including humanitarian aid efforts for Ukraine.
