Nadia’s Initiative

Nadia’s Initiative (NI) was founded in 2018 by Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Nadia Murad. It works to (1) support the sustainable re-development of the Yazidi homeland in Sinjar, Iraq; (2) support survivors of conflict-related sexual violence; and (3) to prevent the use of sexual violence as a weapon of war through international mechanisms and by holding perpetrators to account.
