Protection Approaches
Founded in 2014, Protection Approaches aims to change how governments and the public respond to identity-based violence. The group works both domestically with schools and communities, as well as internationally through high level, direct to government advocacy. Finally, Protection Approaches encourages the integration of ‘prevention thinking’ into governmental decision-making.
Protection Approaches aims to build on its successful advocacy efforts to enable a focused response to the crisis in Sudan, where the convergence of armed conflict, mass atrocities, and famine has created one of the world’s most urgent humanitarian crisis. The group proposes to scale and catalyse diplomatic momentum alongside continued collaboration with a coalition of Sudanese and international civil society organisations.
