Established in 1999, Raising Voices is an NGO based in Kampala using a community-led rights-based approach to address violence against women and children. Together with the various programme tools they have designed, they provide technical support to local-level community organisations working on violence prevention and gender equity. Raising Voices also runs a virtual space called ‘The Gender-Based Violence Prevention Network’ highlighting innovative work that is happening in the field of GBV prevention and offering resources, publications, communication materials, research, and evaluation reports.
