Renewables and Environmental Regulatory Institute (RERI)

Based in Belgrade, the Renewables and Environmental Regulatory Institute (RERI) was founded in 2017 by lawyers and policy experts to strengthen the rule of law and democratic culture in environmental and energy matters. They use legal and advocacy tools to challenge corruption and regulatory breaches related to environmentally harmful industrial and energy projects. They provide legal accompaniment to communities affected by harmful projects, in order to support those communities’ access to justice and to safeguard them from future social and environmental harm.
