Slavko Curuvija Foundation

The Foundation is a leading media support organisation in Serbia, established in 2013 by the children of the investigative journalist and editor Slavko Ćuruvija, who was assassinated in 1999 under the Milošević regime. Its mission is to strengthen independent media by building the capacity of journalists through training, mentoring, educational programmes and targeted grants; protecting journalists’ safety by monitoring court proceedings, documenting threats and attacks, and advocating with relevant institutions; and advancing freedom of expression and press freedom through legal analysis, strategic litigation and advocacy for accountable media regulation.
