Transitioning Africa

Transitioning Africa is a new transgender rights umbrella organisation founded through the collaboration of three African transgender and intersex groups – Gender Dynamix (Cape Town), Trans and Intersex Africa (Soshanguve Township, Gauteng, South Africa) and Support Initiative for People with Atypical Sexual Development (SIPD – Kampala). Transitioning Africa aims to form a platform for the three organisations to engage in regional work and facilitate collaboration with other groups, with the ultimate aim of building a strong network of African trans and intersex organisations.
