Watershed Investigations, Public Interest News Foundation
Watershed Investigations is a public interest journalism organisation established in January 2023 by environmental journalists Rachel Salvidge and Leana Hosea. They have worked with The Guardian, The Times, BBC, Greenpeace Unearthed and the ENDS Report. Focusing primarily on the UK, the organisation aims to build evidence and raise awareness of the misuse, pollution and climate threats to UK waters (including rivers, seas, lakes and reservoirs). Through rigorous and data-driven investigations, Watershed aims to expose bad actors and ineffective policies, as well as drive issues up the public and political agendas to bring about enhanced control of water quality to protect the environment and public health.
