West London Synagogue
The West London Synagogue (WLS), established in 1842, was the first non-Orthodox synagogue in the United Kingdom, and with around 3,000 members, is one of Britain’s largest and most dynamic Progressive Jewish congregations. Inclusivity is fundamental to the Synagogue and explicitly prohibits discrimination based on race, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability. Their experienced Social Care team also provides crucial one-to-one and group support for members facing mental health challenges, bereavement, serious illness, aging, disability, and loneliness.
WLS actively engages with the wider world through interfaith initiatives and cultural events, including two monthly Drop-ins for Asylum Seekers, providing hot meals, hygiene essentials, and safe refuge.
