World Justice Project
The World Justice Project (WJP) is an independent, multidisciplinary organization working to advance the rule of law worldwide. Originally founded as a presidential initiative of the American Bar Association in 2006, WJP became an independent not-for-profit in 2009. The organization surveys local experts and communities around the world to create original data; country, subnational, and thematic reports; and its signature WJP Rule of Law Index. WJP partners with local, national, and global stakeholders to leverage its research to pursue and track meaningful reforms, especially in the areas of people-centred justice, government accountability, and environmental rule of law. WJP also supports a global community of rule of law champions and changemakers through strategic convenings, including its signature conference, the World Justice Forum.
