BAOBAB
BAOBAB for Women’s Human Rights (BAOBAB) is a women’s rights organization in Nigeria. Established in 1996, BAOBAB evolved from a three-year research project on Women and Law, coordinated by Women Living Under Muslim Laws (WLUML). It is the Nigerian partner for the US-based Women’s Learning Partnership for Rights, and Development, and Peace. The Trust is supporting BAOBAB’s work to promote gender equality, empower women and sensitise stakeholders (religious leaders and scholars and members of the media) on women’s human rights.
