Centre for Corporate Accountability

The Centre for Corporate Accountability (CCA) was a human rights organisation which promoted worker and public safety. It focused on the role of the state in the enforcement of health and safety law and the investigation of work-related death and injury. In the UK it provided advice to families bereaved from work-related deaths, and undertook research and policy work on law enforcement and corporate accountability issues. In Bangladesh it worked in partnership with local human rights groups and legal aid organisations to enforce the existing labour law, as well as to improve working conditions in the most hazardous sectors. CCA closed down in 2009.
