European Center for Not-for-Profit Law

The European Center for Not-for-Profit Law (ECNL) supports the creation of an enabling environment for civil society organisations, with a focus on countries in Europe and its neighbourhood. ECNL provides expertise to local partners in law reform, delivers critical analytical research, helps build capacity, and supports advocacy initiatives to advance the freedoms of association, assembly and participation and civil society sustainability. It also engages with inter-governmental and civil society organisations at both the European and global levels to help strengthen standards and tools that protect civic freedoms.
