Mesoamerican Initiative for Women Human Rights Defenders

The Mesoamerican Initiative for Women Human Rights Defenders was established in 2010 to develop a comprehensive regional response to increased violence against women human rights defenders in Mexico, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala and Nicaragua. The Initiative is a collaboration between seven local and regional women' human rights organisations, and in total brings together 350 activists and 70 organisations from the region.
