African Centre for the Treatment and Rehabilitation of Torture Victims
ACTV was established in Kampala, Uganda in 1993 with the assistance of the International Rehabilitation Council for Victims of Torture. It provides holistic treatment and rehabilitation services to survivors of torture in Uganda and neighbouring countries, advocates for the prevention of torture and the provision of services to torture victims, and carries out research and disseminates information on the state of torture in Uganda.
