Arnika – Toxics and Waste Programme
Arnika – Toxics and Waste Programme is a Czech non-governmental organization that seeks to protect people and the environment from toxic pollution across Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia, in addition to global advocacy and projects in Africa and Southeast Asia. Arnika Toxics and Waste Programme researches and monitors problematic chemicals lobbying for alternatives, improvements and regulation; pushes for greater corporate and government accountability over the release of toxic chemicals; and leads clean-up projects at contaminated sites. Arnika Toxics and Waste Programme is the Regional Hub for Central, Eastern & Western Europe for the International Pollutants Elimination Network (IPEN), a global network of over 600 NGOs working to strengthen global and national chemicals and waste policies.
