Grantee profile

CAMP Alatoo

Established in 2004 in Bishkek, CAMP Alatoo aims to encourage more sustainable use of natural resources in order to improve both the long-term productivity of threatened grassland and forest ecosystems and the livelihoods of the mountain villagers of Kyrgyzstan. The organisation works with local communities to develop, adapt and implement practical approaches for managing the long-term health of pasture, forest and water resources on which much of Kyrgyzstan’s unique and globally important biodiversity depends.
