Girl Effect is an international non-profit that uses social behavior change communications to support girls to make choices about their health, learning and livelihood.
Its global portfolio of youth brands across Asia and Africa reach adolescent girls where they are and connect them to the information, support and services that they need. Using digital and traditional media – from social media and chatbots, to TV, radio, magazines and club networks – Girl Effect’s content builds girls’ confidence and agency. Girl Effect partners with service providers, governments, NGOs, philanthropists, and corporations to drive demand for services that are available to girls.
Girl Effect co-designs technology tools and products with girls themselves and builds tech products suitable for all girls – whatever level of access they have to a phone or data packages. Girl Effect currently reaches over 50 million people in 20 countries across Asia and Africa.
