Grantee profile

Inspire is a UK-based organisation founded in 2009 which aims to tackle extremism, intolerance and gender inequality within British Muslim communities as well as promoting a positive Muslim voice in wider society on questions of radicalisation and violent extremism. It runs public campaigns involving Muslim women in expressing opposition to acts of terrorism, organises workshops with parents and teachers about how to recognise signs of radicalisation, provides human rights and theological counterarguments, and encourages Muslims to discuss difficult and taboo issues more openly.
