Integrity Initiatives International

Integrity Initiatives International (III) was established in 2016 with the mission to strengthen the enforcement of criminal laws against kleptocrats and their co-conspirators – bribe payers and money launderers. Its primary project is to coordinate global efforts to create an International Anti-Corruption Court (IACC), which could enforce the international framework for combatting grand corruption through prosecution and sentencing of corrupt officials and the return of stolen assets to benefit the public good. III coordinates civil society organisations, supportive governments and key individuals in campaigning for the IACC. This includes building and staffing regional civil society IACC campaign committees; raising awareness about the IACC within governments; managing a pro bono group of leading international jurists and anti-corruption experts to draft a model IACC treaty; and publishing, among other advocacy materials, a Declaration in Support of the Creation of the IACC, which has so far been signed by more than 300 world leaders from over 80 countries. In pursuit of its broader mission to enhance accountability for crimes of grand corruption, III also supports the development of national anti-corruption measures, specifically judicial reform in Ukraine; facilitates a Youth Leaders Network as a peer-to-peer learning and support platform for young anti-corruption activists; and organises programs to highlight the nexus between corruption and human rights abuse.
