International Coalition of Sites of Conscience

The International Coalition of Sites of Conscience was founded in 1999 by six international sites, including the Gulag Museum at Perm-36 in Russia, Memoria Abierta in Argentina, and the District Six Museum in South Africa. The coalition is now a network of 125 members, which share practices and foster a movement for heritage or memorial projects.
