Lauderdale House Art of Dispute/Spoken Identity Project

The Lauderdale House Art of Dispute/Spoken Identity Project uses poetry to help young people to explore issues of freedom and identity that are important to them, usually around ideas of gender, race, class, and religion.

The objectives and impact of the project are in building the confidence of young people in exploring their creative abilities, articulating their thoughts and individual voices, and increasing their understanding of human rights.

The project is led by Lauderdale House project staff and professional poets.
