Liberties.eu

Liberties.eu (formerly the Civil Liberties Union for Europe) grew out of the European Liberties Platform, an association of EU-based civil liberties organisations. Launched in 2017, Liberties.eu maintains a membership structure, with member organisations from Belgium, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Spain, the Netherlands and an associated partner in Sweden. Its aim is to have members, both individuals and organisations, from all the EU countries. Based in Berlin, Liberties.eu uses advocacy, research, campaigns and human rights education to promote its three objectives: to be a watchdog of the EU, ensuring its law and policy is human rights compliant; to protect the rights of individuals living in the EU; and to promote popular understanding of civil liberties to empower people to defend their rights.
