Raoul Wallenberg 2012

2012 was the centenary of the birth of Swedish diplomat Raoul Wallenberg, who saved tens of thousands of Hungarian Jews from the Holocaust in 1944 before disappearing while in Soviet custody. The Swedish government decided to commemorate the centenary by honouring Wallenberg’s memory with various events and activities including seminars, theatre productions and film screenings.
